  3. 11 de may. de 2021 · Alan was Scotlands High Steward for some 27 years when he died in on 24th August 1204 at Dundonald, probably aged 64. He is interred in Paisley Abbey. His title then passed to his son Walter, and then to Walters son Alexander, who took on the Vikings at Largs in 1263.

  4. Walter FitzAlan (c. 1090 – 1177) was a twelfth-century Anglo-Norman baron who became a Scottish magnate and Steward of Scotland. He was a younger son of Alan fitz Flaad and Avelina de Hesdin. In about 1136, Walter entered into the service of David I, King of Scotland.

  6. Alan Fitz-Walter, 2nd High Steward of Scotland, was the only authentically recorded son of Walter, 1st High Steward, though there may have been others. His mother was Eschyna de Molle and he was probably born c.1140. Alan was a Commander under Richard the Lionheart on the Third Crusade in 1191.
