Overall, Shakespeare presents Macduff as the archetype of the avenging hero, who does not want vengeance for its own sake, but wishes to restore order and morality to Scotland.
16 de abr. de 2024 · Constantine is the first earl of Fife on record, appearing as earl on a charter dated before 1107, and later recorded as great judex in Scotia. His last appearance is c.1128 and was succeeded by Gillemichael, who appears to have held the earldom from about 1128 to about 1136, but whose relationship to Constantine is uncertain.
3 de may. de 2024 · I love an old harbour and MacDuff was an excellent harbour to visit. The story goes that up and until 1783 MacDuff was known as "Doune". When the second Earl of Fife of Duff House acquired the Burgh status this community was renamed MacDuff. The herring industry peaked in the 19th century. These days fish still comes in but it is more leisure vessels that use this harbour.
