When Count Philipp Konrad zu Dietz was born on 29 September 1547, in Hesse-Nassau, Prussia, Germany, his father, Landgraf Philipp "Der Großmütige" von Hessen I, was 42 and his mother, Christine of Dresden, Princess of Sachsen Hesse, was 41. He died on 25 May 1569, at the age of 21.
