El ruso Piotr Kropotkin fue geógrafo, zoólogo y naturalista desde la misma introspección que le permitió ser también economista, escritor y uno de los principales promotores del movimiento internacional anarquista y de la teoría y la práctica del anarcocomunismo.

Born into an aristocratic land-owning family, Kropotkin attended Page Corps and later served as an officer in Siberia, where he participated in several geological expeditions.
