1 de may. de 2024 · El ejército de Alemania Occidental, creado oficialmente el 5 de mayo de 1955, adoptó el nombre de Bundeswehr ('Defensa Federal'). Su homólogo de Alemania Oriental, creado el 1 de marzo de 1956, tomó el nombre de Ejército Popular Nacional (en alemán: Nationale Volksarmee).
