Alexander Stewart, 2nd Earl of Buchan (died 1505) was the only son of James Stewart, 1st Earl of Buchan, and Margaret Ogilvy. Alexander succeeded to the Earldom and the Barony of Kingedward and other lands, probably in 1499, as he got sasine of the Earldom on 23 January 1499/1500.
When Alexander Stewart 2nd Earl of Buchan was born in 1468, in Aberdeenshire, Scotland, his father, James Stewart 1st Earl of Buchan, was 26 and his mother, Margaret Ogilvy, was 23. He married Isabel Ogilvie of Airlie on 20 May 1491. They were the parents of at least 1 son and 1 daughter. He died in 1505, at the age of 37.
Alexander Stewart, Earl of Buchan, called the Wolf of Badenoch (1343 – July 1394), was a Scottish royal prince, the third son of King Robert II of Scotland by his first wife Elizabeth Mure. He was Justiciar of Scotia and held large territories in the north of Scotland.
