Hace 23 horas · Descendants of Christian IX of Denmark. Christian IX of Denmark (April 8, 1918 – January 29, 1906) ruled Denmark from 1863 to 1906. Known as the "father-in-law of Europe", [1] he and his wife, Louise of Hesse-Kassel (September 7, 1817 – September 29, 1898), became the ancestors of many members of European royalty.

Five children of this union survived to maturity (George, duke of York, subsequently King George V , was the second son; the eldest, Prince Albert Victor, died of pneumonia in 1892).
