Emmanuel Graf von Mensdorff-Pouilly (24 January 1777 – 28 June 1852) was an army officer in the Imperial-Royal Army of the Austrian Empire, and vice-governor of Mainz. He was the uncle of Queen Victoria and the godfather of her husband, Prince Albert of Saxe-Coburg and Gotha .

His son Alfons Friedrich Count Mensdorff-Pouilly (1810 – 1894) established his main seat at Castle Nectiny and later in the years 1855 – 1858 began to rebuild the castle in Neo- Gothic style. The family crypt, built in 1858 in Roman style, is located in the area of the castle. The castle is located in a park with a very large pond.
Alfons Mensdorff-Pouilly ist seit 16. Oktober 1994 [4] mit der ehemaligen Politikerin und Bundesministerin a. D. Maria Rauch-Kallat (ÖVP) verheiratet. Entgegen dem damaligen Ehe-Namensrecht behielt Rauch-Kallat unverändert ihren Doppelnamen aus erster Ehe.
