Landgravine Elisabeth Amalie of Hesse-Darmstadt (Elisabeth Amalie Magdalene; 20 March 1635 – 4 August 1709) was a German princess of Hesse-Darmstadt who became Electress Palatine as the second wife of Philip William, Elector Palatine.

Wilhelmine Amalie was the youngest daughter of John Frederick, Duke of Brunswick-Calenberg, and Princess Benedicta Henrietta of the Palatinate. Her two surviving sisters were Charlotte Felicitas, who married Rinaldo d'Este, Duke of Modena, and Henriette Marie, who died young. An older sister, Anna Sophie, died in childhood.
Duchess of Orléans 1652-1722. Second wife of Monsieur, brother of Louis XIV, the Princess of the Palatinate, known as Princess Palatine, remains, along with Saint-Simon, the best surviving source of information on life at Versailles. She died in 1722, leaving behind her some 90,000 letters.
