Their father was John Dudley, Duke of Northumberland, who led the English government from 1550–1553 under Ambrose Dudley, 3rd Earl of Warwick, KG (c. 1530 – 21 February 1590) was an English nobleman and general, and an elder brother of Queen Elizabeth I's favourite, Robert Dudley, Earl of Leicester.
21 de feb. de 2018 · Today is the anniversary of the death of Ambrose Dudley, 3rd Earl of Warwick, Master of the Ordnance, Privy Councillor and fourth son of John Dudley, Duke of Northumberland, at Bedford House on the Strand in 1590. Ambrose would have been the 3rd Earl only as the heir of his older brother John Dudley, 2nd Earl of Warwick; John was attainted and his titles forfeited. He died on 21 October 1554, aged 23. Ambrose and his brother Henry were "restored in blood" in 1556 and in 1561 Ambrose was elevated to the peerage as Baron d'Lisle and Earl of Warwick.
