Born in Ravenna to Sicilian parents, Sebastiani grew up in Verona. [1] [2] He started his career in 1979 as a deejay for a small radio station in Verona. [2]

Le origini
Nato a Ravenna da Antonella e Corrado Sebastiani (di origine palermitana), si trasferisce all'età di 6 anni con la famiglia a Verona per motivi lavorativi del padre maestro di equitazione, un provetto cavaliere così come il fratello e lo zio. Proprio grazie al mestiere del padre, Amedeo matura la passione per l'equitazione. A 7 anni si ammala gravemente di nefrite per cui rimane ricoverato per due mesi in isolamento nell'ospedale di Bussolengo lottando tra la vita e la morte. Si iscrive poi a...
Gli inizi alla radio
Proprio a Verona inizia a frequentare la radio locale Radio Verona e successivamente, dal 1984 al 1986, Radio Blu di Villafranca. Un giorno del 1985 si mette ad aspettare per sei ore nella hall di un albergo il patron del Festivalbar Vittorio Salvetti consegnandogli, all'uscita dall'ascensore, una cassetta con un suo provino. L'esordio e i primi successi a Mediaset
Esordisce in tv nel 1988 partecipando a 1, 2, 3 Jovanotti su Italia 1, programma condotto dal collega romano. Successivamente conduce i programmi musicali DeeJay Television e Deejay Beach su Italia 1, al fianco degli amici di lunga data Jovanotti, Fiorello e Leonardo Pieraccioni.
