Amelia Sach (1873 – 3 February 1903) and Annie Walters (1869 – 3 February 1903) were two British murderers better known as the Finchley baby farmers. [1] [2] Background. Little is known about Annie Walters, but Amelia Sach's background is well-documented: Sach was baptised Frances Amelia Thorne in Hampreston, Dorset on 5 May 1867.
Amelia Sach and Annie Walters were executed at 9am on Tuesday morning 3 February 1903 at Holloway Gaol. It was the first execution that had taken place under the new regulations consequent on the losing of Newgate and was strictly private.
24 de abr. de 2020 · On February 3rd, 1903 Amelia Sach, aged 36 and Annie Walters aged 54, known as the Finchley baby farm killers, became the first woman to be hanged at Holloway Prison, in London, a task undertaken by executioner Henry Pierrepoint.
Annie Walters and Amelia Sach became the first women to be hanged in the new women's prison at Holloway on the 3rd of February 1903 by William Billington and Henry Pierrepoint. Previously, female executions in London had been carried out at Newgate prison.

Though “both repulsive in type” according to the cold notes of their hangman, Amelia Sach and Annie Walters were plenty appealing to young ladies in a certain condition.
6 de nov. de 2018 · Eleven months earlier, at the double hanging at Holloway, Annie Walters is reported to have spoken with a similar bravura: ‘Goodbye Sach,’ she called, as one waving a friend on to an omnibus. Walters, a woman in her fifties, left her life stoically.
