Yes, I know Star Wars is obviously his most popular film but in my view the direction, casting, production, soundtrack etc is exponentially better in American Graffiti. I appreciate Star Wars for what it is and it's not a bad film, but to me American Graffiti will always be Lucas's best film. To me, it's not even really close either.
