Andrew Stewart, 2nd Lord Avondale or Andrew Stuart, 1st Lord Ochiltree (died 1549), was a Scottish peer. Title [ edit ] Andrew was the son of Andrew Stewart, 1st Lord Avondale , a new creation which Andrew surrendered for a new investment as Lord Ochiltree .
Andrew Stewart, 1st Lord Avandale (2nd creation), was born about 1450 -1470) he was the 2nd son of Walter Stewart and Elizabeth Arnot. He was a younger brother to Alexander Stewart who died about the same time as his father. He was created 2nd Lord Avandale in 1489.

The second creation was for Andrew Stuart, who was created Lord Avondale in 1459. He was a son of Sir Walter Stewart and therefore a grandson of Murdoch Stewart, 2nd Duke of Albany. He served as Chancellor of Scotland between 1460 and 1482, and died in 1488, when the title became extinct.

Andrew's father was the 1st Lord Avondale of a new creation, Andrew surrendered his title for a new investment as Lord Ochiltree. His seat became Ochiltree Castle in Ayrshire.
17 de nov. de 2023 · Andrew Stewart, 2nd Lord Ochiltree was the son of Andrew Stewart, 1st Lord Ochiltree and Margaret Hamilton. He was born about 1521. He succeeded his father as 2nd Lord Stewart of Ochiltree in 1549. Andrew Stewart died after 3 June 1596.
