Hace 6 días · Anne, the Princess Royal (born August 15, 1950, London, England) is a British royal, the second child and only daughter of Queen Elizabeth II and Prince Philip, duke of Edinburgh. For the eight years between her mother’s accession in 1952 and the birth of Prince Andrew in 1960, she was second—to her older brother, Prince Charles —in the line of succession to the British throne.
Anne reigned as Queen of England, Scotland, and Ireland from 1702 and then, following the 1707 Act of Union, over a united kingdom as Queen of Great Britain until her death in 1714. The last of the Stuart monarchs, Anne's reign witnessed the Spanish War of Succession which helped Britain establish itself as a major world power.
