Antoine de Bourgogne (1421 – 5 May 1504), known to his contemporaries as the Bastard of Burgundy or Le grand bâtard ("the Great Bastard"), was the natural son (and second child) of Philip III, Duke of Burgundy, and one of his mistresses, Jeanne de Presle.

He is known to have been a great tournament champion, and once fought a two-day "duel" with Antoine, bastard of Burgundy. [3] [4] The supporters of Edward IV were defeated at the Battle of Edgcote , near Banbury , on 24 July 1469, and Richard Woodville and his second son John Woodville were taken prisoners at Chepstow .
Anthony, Duke of Brabant, also known as Antoine de Brabant, Antoine de Bourgogne and Anthony of Burgundy (August 1384 – 25 October 1415), was Count of Rethel (1402–1406), Duke of Brabant, Lothier and Limburg (1406–1415), and Co- Duke of Luxemburg (1411-1415). He was killed at the battle of Agincourt .

The tournament at Smithfield took place in June 1467 between Antoine ‘the Great Bastard’ of Burgundy, illegitimate son of Philip the Good, and Anthony Woodville, Lord Scales, brother-in-law to king Edward IV. [1] . Four records survive, two of which are from the English perspective, and two Burgundian.
