Arabella’s family, the Churchills, were devoted royalists who were rewarded for their services once King Charles II was restored to the throne in 1660.

Arabella Churchill ( 23 februari 1648 - 30 mei 1730) was een maîtresse van koning Jacobus II van Engeland. Ze was de dochter van Winston Churchill (een voorvader van premier Winston Churchill) en Elizabeth Drake, en zuster van John Churchill, 1e hertog van Marlborough.
