Archduke Leopold Joseph of Austria (June 2, 1682 – August 3, 1684) was a son of Emperor Leopold I and Archduke of Austria. He died in infancy.

Archduke Leopold of Austria, Grand Duke of Tuscany. 1770. Oil on canvas. Room 022. Second son of the Empress Maria Teresa and of Francis I, the sitter was born in 1747. He succeeded his brother Joseph II, who died without heir in 1790, as emperor of Germany and died in 1792.

The year 1795 saw Archduke Josef, son of Emperor Leopold II and brother of Emperor Franz, being appointed Palatine of Hungary, a post he held for more than half a century. As such he was the deputy of the King of Hungary – who was of course none other than the Emperor in his capacity as the head of the house of Habsburg.
