Det vart vedteke å bygg opp ny kyrkje i stein. Ho er reist etter teikning av arkitekt Arnstein Arneberg. Den grovhogne gråsteinen i yttermuren er teken om lag ein kilometer vest for kyrkja. Innvendig vart det bygd ein frittståande kvelving i jarnbetong. Kyrkja er 43,5 meter lang og 16 meter brei. Tverskipet er 29 meter.
