10 de abr. de 2024 · This portrait of Arthur Windsor launches the 100 People Gallery. On 18th June 1944 Arthur and his colleagues landed on the beaches of Normandy, France. Arthur was a radio operator within the GHQ Liaison Regiment, known as "Phantom", and worked within General Montgomery's HQ team from D Day plus 12 through to the German surrender at Luneberg Heath on 4th May 1945, a journey of 1,100 miles.
