Artie Shaw, artiestennaam van Arthur Jacob Arshawsky ( New York, 23 mei 1910 – Thousand Oaks ( Californië ), 30 december 2004) was een Amerikaanse jazz klarinettist, jazzcomponist, bandleider, schrijver en acteur. He was one of the few outstanding jazz musicians whose commitment to jazz was uncertain. Shaw began playing in high school and turned professional in 1925.
