Lady Augusta Murray (27 de enero de 1768 - 5 de marzo de 1830) fue la primera esposa del príncipe Augusto Federico, duque de Sussex, el sexto hijo de Jorge III. Lady Augusta is best known for her illegitimate marriage to Prince Augustus Frederick, Duke of Sussex, sixth son of George III, in 1793. After a brief betrothal, the couple were married at the Hotel Sarmiento, Rome, on 4 April 1793, without witnesses.

Lady Augusta Murray had known Prince Augustus Frederick for only three months but they had already fallen deeply in love and were desperate to be married.
Prince Augustus Frederick, George III’s sixth son, caused a royal scandal when he married Lady Augusta Murray in contravention of the Royal Marriages Act 1772. Upon the couple’s eventual split, Augusta went from socialite to social outcast and has been largely forgotten by history – until now.
