Auguste von Harrach, princess of Liegnitz (1800–1873), second wife of king Frederick William III of Prussia. Many of its members bear the title of Graf ( count / earl) or Gräfin ( countess ). Notable members of the family are, among others: Przibislaus Harrach (d. 1289) — founder of the family.
Dating from c.1828, the miniature depicts Augusta, daughter of Count Ferdinand von Harrach and his first wife, Johanna von Rayski, several years after her morganatic marriage, in 1824, to Frederick William III, King of Prussia. She was created Princess of Liegnitz and Countess of Hohenzollern on her marriage.
