Bad Ems (German: [baːt ɛms] ⓘ) is a town in Rhineland-Palatinate, Germany. It is the administrative seat of the Rhein-Lahn rural district and is well known as a spa on the river Lahn . Bad Ems was the seat of Bad Ems collective municipality , which has been merged into the Bad Ems-Nassau collective municipality.
Bad Ems with its historic core, the historic spa district, is part of the "Great Spas of Europe", the most important historic spa towns in Europe. Together with these, Bad Ems is on the UNESCO nomination list as a future world cultural heritage site.
