Baden-Baden liegt am Westrand des nördlichen Schwarzwaldes im Tal der Oos, einem kleinen Fluss, der etwa 13 Kilometer weiter bei Rastatt in die Murg mündet. Die östlichen Stadtteile schmiegen sich teilweise in die Hänge des Schwarzwaldes.
