Barbara Minty (born June 11, 1953), also known as Barbara Minty McQueen, is a former fashion model who was the third wife and widow of American film star Steve McQueen. Biography [ edit ] Minty was born in Seattle, Washington , and spent several years growing up in Corvallis, Oregon , graduating from Corvallis High School in 1971.

Barbara Minty was there with McQueen throughout his ordeal, and when he died on 7th November, 1980, she was there by his bed side. She was only 28 at that time and his death broke her. She retired from the show business and focused her energy on raising his kids, Terry and Chad.
