L’entrée de l’avant-dernier ouvrage de Bellini au répertoire de l’Opéra de Paris constitue un événement qu’il convient de saluer. Créé à La Fenice en 1833, deux ans après Norma et juste un an avant Les Puritains, Beatrice de Tenda n’a pas eu la carrière que le compositeur espérait.

8 de may. de 2024 · L’émérite zélateur du bel canto prétendait qu’au lieu du « grand Bellini » attendu, Beatrice di Tenda paraissait la copie d’un bon opéra de Donizetti – ce qui, soit dit en passant, n’est pas très obligeant pour le compositeur de Lucia di Lammermoor.
