01.07.2018. Girls have seen 18 months’ of hard work come to fruition as they flew in a light aircraft they built themselves this weekend. A team of pupils have been constructing the microlight one evening each week since September 2016 and they finally took to the skies in the aircraft yesterday (Sunday 1 July).
Benenden needed a new Hall fit for today’s School and for the future, one that could fit our 550 girls plus staff in comfort. Designed by the multi award-winning Guy Hollaway Architects, the new Centenary Hall offers state-of-the-art acoustics and gives girls and audiences a truly professional performance experience.
