  6. Benenden School is an independent day and boarding school for girls, founded in 1923 and situated in 250 acres of beautiful parkland in rural Kent. At present, there are 550 girls in the school. The site on which the School stands is of great historical interest as both the parkland and woodland are mentioned in the Domesday Book: “Robert of Romney also holds Benenden [Benendine] from the Bishop of Bayeux”.
