Hace 4 días · Bettie Mae Page was born on April 22, 1923, in Kingsport, Tennessee, as the second of six children. Her upbringing was far from easy. During the Great Depression, her father struggled to make ends meet with his mechanic's salary. When Page was 10 years old, her parents' divorce resulted in her and two sisters spending a year in an orphanage.
