Beverley Grammar School, in Beverley, East Yorkshire was founded in 700 AD and is the oldest state school in England. Notable former students include Thomas Percy and Paul Robinson. Beverley Grammar School was founded with the Collegiate Church in Beverley by St. John of Beverley c. 700 CE.

Our KS4 curriculum is a traditional one, with a concentration upon the core of English, maths, sciences and humanities. The vast majority of students (including disadvantaged students or those with SEND) take 8 or 9 GCSEs.
Beverley Grammar School is a non-selective academy. It has about 860 boys aged between 11 and 18. In September 2021 the school was rated ‘Outstanding’ by Ofsted. Particular strengths include Environment, Attendance, Attainment and Destinations. Relative weaknesses include Representation and Disadvantaged pupils.
