Bezmiâlem Sultan (Ottoman Turkish: بزم عالم سلطان; Ornament of The World; c. 1807 – 2 May 1853), called also Bazimialam Sultan, was a consort of Sultan Mahmud II, and Valide sultan to their son, Sultan Abdulmejid I of the Ottoman Empire.

Abdülmecid I ( Constantinopla, Imperio otomano, 23 de abril de 1823-ib. 25 de junio de 1861) fue el trigésimo primer sultán del Imperio Otomano y sucedió a su padre Mahmud II en 2 de julio de 1839. 1 Su reinado se destacó por el surgimiento de movimientos nacionalistas dentro de los territorios del imperio.

11 de jun. de 2009 · Valide Sultan, a reformist, had a school called Darülmaârif built in Divanyolu. It was also called ‘Valide Sultan School’. It was officially opened in 1850. Sultan Abdulmecid participated in the inauguration and brought his son and daughter with him. He wanted them to be educated at the school.
