In 1965, the plan for the new neighbourhood of Bijlmermeer was presented in Amsterdam. The district was designed according to the CIAM’s utopian premises, which were based on scaling up, collective use of semi-public spaces and segregation of the four functions: dwelling, circulation, work and recreation.
