Birkmyre baronets. The Birkmyre Baronetcy, of Dalmunzie in the County of Perth, is a title in the Baronetage of the United Kingdom. It was created on 29 January 1921 for Sir Archibald Birkmyre. [1] He was a senior partner in the firm of Birkmyre Brothers, jute spinners, of Calcutta, and a member of the Viceroy of India 's Legislative Council.
The Birkin Baronetcy, of Ruddington Grange in the County of Nottingham, is a title in the Baronetage of the United Kingdom. It was created on 25 July 1905 for the businessman Thomas Isaac Birkin. He was a Lace Manufacturer, Director of the Great Northern Railway and the Mercantile Steamship Company.

King James I created the hereditary Order of Baronets in England on 22 May 1611, for the settlement of Ireland. He offered the dignity to 200 gentlemen of good birth, with a clear estate of £ 1,000 a year, on condition that each one should pay a sum equivalent to three years' pay to 30 soldiers at 8d per day per man (total – £1,095) into the King's Exchequer.
Charles Archibald Cecil Birkin (30 March 1905 – 7 June 1927) was an English motorcycle racer, brother of Tim Birkin, one of the "Bentley Boys" of the 1920s. Background and family. Birkin was born into a wealthy Nottingham family in 1905. He was the son of Sir Thomas Stanley Birkin, 2nd Bt. and Hon. Margaret Diana Hopetoun Chetwynd.
