Blickling Hall is an English stately home in the village of Blickling, Norfolk. The original house was built in the 11th century, but the house as we know it today, was constructed in 1619. In the 15th and 16th century, the hall was home to the Boleyn family. And their spirits still haunt the estate and the house. Rev Stan via flickr CC BY-2.0.
Blickling Hall at dusk Empress Catherine the Great of Russia. John Hobart, 2nd Earl of Buckinghamshire became an Earl in 1756 and was the ambassador to St. Petersburg between 1762 and 1765. He made fashionable alterations to Blickling Hall, installing an enchanting Chinese bedroom with hand-painted wallpaper and the ‘Peter the Great’ room.
14 de nov. de 2023 · From April, a Sunbeam 1A bus service will run on Mondays and Fridays* direct from Aylsham Market Place to Blickling Estate. The service will depart Aylsham at 10.10am and 11.40am. The return journey will depart the hall at 11.50am, 1.28pm and 4.08pm. [*excluding bank holidays]

At over two centuries old, the pyramid structure stands boldly on the edge of ancient woodland, creating a unique and dramatic view across the sweeping landscape. The pyramid is made of 190,000 Portland stone blocks, formed on the estate by builder Henry Wood.
