Bruce Middleton Hope Shand, MC & Bar, DL (22 January 1917 – 11 June 2006) was an officer in the British Army who served in France as part of the British Expeditionary Force during the Second World War. He was the father of Queen Camilla. After the war he became a wine merchant.

Hace 4 días · Commissioned in 1937, The Queen’s late father, Major Bruce Shand, served with the 12th Lancers during World War II. He won a Military Cross during the withdrawal to Dunkirk in 1940 and later again in 1942 during the Second Battle of El Alamein in North Africa.
