30 de abr. de 2024 · The two pillars of the Széchenyi Chain Bridge in Budapest. The Chain Bridge took 20 years to build after Széchenyi’s idea got accepted. It was opened in 1849. Sadly, its inauguration was everything but glorious, as it took place in a mournful time of the Hungarian history, right after the suppression of the revolution for independence in 1849.

The top of the Hármashatár hill is roughy 400 meters above the city, but it lies a bit further from downtown, although still within the boundaries of Budapest.

The Fisherman’s Bastion (Halászbástya) is an ornate viewing terrace that is one of Budapest’s most visited sights. The bastion sits on the site of Buda’s old defensive walls and a former fish market.
