Cölln (German:) was the twin city of Old Berlin from the 13th century to the 18th century. Cölln was located on the Fisher Island section of Spree Island, opposite Altberlin on the western bank of the River Spree , until the cities were merged by Frederick I of Prussia to form Berlin in 1710.

Er ist nahezu identisch mit der Stadt Kölln (auch Cölln, Cölln an der Spree oder Kölln an der Spree), die zusammen mit Berlin die Doppelstadt Berlin-Kölln bildete, den Gründungsursprung der heutigen Metropole Berlin. 1237 erstmals urkundlich erwähnt, war Kölln vom 13.
In 1709, Cölln united with Berlin, whose old centre lay on the east bank of the river. In the 18th century, boating professions became less important as the city industrialised. As a result, in the early 19th century, the Fischerinsel district stopped developing and became a neighbourhood which preserved the look of old Berlin, including the last gabled houses in the city.
Hacia el sur de la Spreeinsel se encontraba la ciudad de Cölln, hasta 1709 ciudad hermana del Alt-Berlin, ubicada al norte del Spree. La parte sur de la isla —al sur de la Gertraudenstraße — se conoce hoy como Fischerinsel y se denomina así por el antiguo barrio de pescadores ( Fischerkiez ) que existía en el borde extremo del sur de la isla.
30 de mar. de 2012 · The center of Cölln was situated around today's Petriplatz, south of what is now Schlossplatz on Berlin's Museum Island. A church, a cemetery, a fish market and the town hall all stood on the site.
