Emich Carl, Prince of Leiningen (27 September 1763 – 4 July 1814) was the reigning Fürst of the Principality of Leiningen. After his death, his widow, Princess Victoria of Saxe-Coburg-Saalfeld, married a son of George III of the United Kingdom and became the mother of Victoria, Queen of the United Kingdom .
Prince Carl of Sweden and Norway, Duke of Västergötland (27 February 1861 – 24 October 1951) was a Swedish prince. Through his daughters Märtha and Astrid , for whom he arranged excellent dynastic marriages, he is an ancestor of current members of the Grand Ducal Family of Luxembourg , Belgian royal family and Norwegian royal family .

Carl was born in Friedrichshafen on 1 August 1936. [1] He was the second son of Philipp Albrecht, Duke of Württemberg (1893–1975), and Archduchess Rosa of Austria, Princess of Tuscany (1906–1983). [2] He was educated at the classical grammar school in Riedlingen and the University of Tübingen, where he studied law.
