Carl Friedrich von Pückler-Burghauss (October 7, 1886 – 12 May 1945) was a German politician and a SS functionary during the Nazi era. He was a member of the German parliament during the Weimar Republic.

[a] The formation was commanded by SS-Gruppenführer Carl Friedrich von Pückler-Burghauss. The soldiers were accompanied by fleeing German civilians. Because the road toward the Americans was blocked by local resistance units, Pückler-Burghauss ordered the establishment of defensive lines.

History. The family was first mentioned in the 13th century. They obtained the title of Count in 1690, while they were rewarded with the title of Imperial Count in 1740 by Charles VI. There was one princely line created in 1822 by Friedrich Wilhelm III for Hermann, Count von Pückler-Muskau and several comital branches of the family.
