Carole Migden (born August 14, 1948, in New York City) is an American politician from San Francisco who represented the third district of the California State Senate from 2004 to 2008 and the 13th district of the California State Assembly from 1996 to 2002.

Carole Migden, California, 1990. As the Chair of the Assembly Committee on Appropriations and a three-year Joint Budget Conferee, Migden was responsible for overseeing the allocation of California's (then) $100 billion budget. In May 2007, she announced that she had been diagonsed with leukemia in 1997 and was given 3-5 years to live.
A cancer survivor, she learned of her diagnosis one year into her first term in the state assembly. Ms. Migden searched for a cure, participated in clinical trials, and today, she is 100% cancer free.
