30 de oct. de 2021 · 1380: David’s Tower Built. The Wars of Independence took their toll on Edinburgh Castle. Thus in 1380 King David, Robert the Bruce’s son commissioned the reconstruction of the Castle. As part of this, David’s Tower was built. It stood over thirty metres tall and dominated the Edinburgh skyline for some 200 years.
