Construction of the present basilica began on 18 April 1506 and was completed on 18 November 1626.

Hace 2 días · Cathedral with crypt. The cathedral "Notre-Dame" of Luxembourg was built between 1613 and 1621 by the Jesuits to serve as a church to their college (now the National Library). The north gate is characteristic of the semi-Renaissance, semi-Baroque style of the period.
