Catherine de Parthenay, Viscountess and Princess of Rohan (1554–1631) was a French noblewoman, mathematician, philosopher, poet, playwright, and translator. [3] [4] She studied with the mathematician François Viète and was considered one of the most brilliant women of the era.
He married Catherine de Rohan (1425–1471), daughter of Alain IX de Rohan and Marguerite de Dreux, dame de Guillac. Catherine de Rohan, née le 20 juin 1578 à Blain et décédée le 10 mai 1607 à Zweibrücken, fut la première épouse du comte palatin Jean II de Deux-Ponts . Biographie [ modifier | modifier le code] Catherine est un des enfants de René II de Rohan et de Catherine de Parthenay.
