Lady Cicely Neville. Published 2nd August 2015. Cicely (or Cecily) Neville, was one of the vast brood of children of Ralph Neville, Earl of Westmorland, by his second wife, Joan, daughter of John of Gaunt, Duke of Lancaster. Cicely was born and brought up in the great Neville stronghold of Raby Castle, Durham.

Cecily’s mother Joan was the natural daughter of Edward III’s third son, John of Gaunt. Though John eventually did marryJoan’s mother, he took a while to do it.

She married John Weston about 1506 of Litchfield, Hampshire, England. Cecilia Neville died about 20 May 1573, at Raby, Durham, England, age 82. She was buried at Timsbury, Hampshire England.
