Gibbons, who won 11 Academy Awards, also designed the Oscar statuette itself. Austin Cedric Gibbons (* 23. März 1893 in Dublin, Irland; † 26. Juli 1960 in Hollywood, Los Angeles) war einer der bekanntesten US-amerikanischen Art Directors.
