Charles Noel Carnegie, 10th Earl of Southesk JP DL (20 March 1854 – 10 November 1941), was a Scottish nobleman. Early life. Carnegie was the son of the explorer and poet James Carnegie, 9th Earl of Southesk and his first wife Catherine Hamilton Noel, daughter of the Charles Noel, 1st Earl of Gainsborough. [1] .

Charles Alexander Bannerman Carnegie, 11th Earl of Southesk (23 September 1893 – 16 February 1992), styled The Honourable Charles Carnegie before 1905 and Lord Carnegie between 1905 and 1941, was the husband of Princess Maud, a granddaughter of King Edward VII.

Charles Noel Carnegie, 10th Earl of Southesk (20 March 1854 – 10 November 1941), was a Scottish nobleman. Amongst his various honours, he was an honorary colonel in the Forfar and Kincardine Artillery, and a Deputy Lieutenant for Kincardineshire from 5 January 1900. He was educated at Harrow and St Andrews University.

On Alexandra's death in 1959, the titles passed to her nephew James Carnegie, Lord Carnegie, the only son of the eleventh earl of Southesk and Princess Maud (who died in 1945), who became the third duke. On his father's death in 1992, the Duke also succeeded as twelfth earl of Southesk.
