Charles Chetwynd Chetwynd-Talbot, 2nd Earl Talbot, KG, PC, FRS (25 April 1777 – 10 January 1849), styled Viscount of Ingestre between 1784 and 1793, was a British politician and slave holder. He served as Lord Lieutenant of Ireland between 1817 and 1821.

12 de mar. de 2023 · Their second son, Henry John Chetwynd-Talbot who succeeded Talbot and became the 3rd Earl. Henry (1803-1868) was a British naval officer, rising to Admiral (on the reserve list) in 1865. In 1860, after a celebrated legal case, he became the 18th Earl of Shrewsbury and the 18th Earl of Waterford.

Lord Talbot assumed by Royal licence the surname and arms of Chetwynd in 1786. On his death, the titles passed to his son, the second Earl. He served under the Earl of Liverpool as Lord Lieutenant of Ireland from 1817 to 1821. He was succeeded by his second but eldest surviving son, the third Earl.
