Charles Michael, Duke of Mecklenburg ( German: Carl Michael Herzog zu Mecklenburg; Russian: Михаил Георгиевич; 17 June [ O.S. 5 June] 1863 – 6 December 1934) was an officer in the Imperial Russian Army, heir presumptive to the throne of Mecklenburg-Strelitz and from 1918 head of the Grand Ducal House .
Borwin, Duke of Mecklenburg (German: Borwin Herzog zu Mecklenburg; given names: Georg Borwin Friedrich Franz Karl Stephan Konrad Hubertus Maria; born 10 June 1956) has been the head of the House of Mecklenburg-Strelitz since 1996 and of the entire House of Mecklenburg since 2001.

The current head of this house is Borwin, Duke of Mecklenburg. His grandfather was Count Georg of Carlow, the morganatic son of Duke George Alexander of Mecklenburg (1859–1909). Georg was adopted in 1928 by his uncle Duke Charles Michael of Mecklenburg, the head of the House of Mecklenburg

17 de abr. de 2020 · Given the lack of males in the Schwerin branch following the suicide of 1918, however, the last fully ‘dynastic’ male in the house, Grand Duke Karl Michael, who had himself been a lieutenant-general in the Russian imperial army, adopted his nephew in 1928, before dying in 1934.
Grand Ducal House. Duke Michael has been second in the line of succession to the headship of the Grand Ducal House since the death of his grandfather Duke Georg Alexander in 1996. When his work commitments permit he represents the Grand Ducal House at events within Mecklenburg and elsewhere. Honours.
