Charlotte Stuart, styled Duchess of Albany (29 October 1753 – 17 November 1789) was the illegitimate daughter of the Jacobite pretender Prince Charles Edward Stuart ("Bonnie Prince Charlie" or the "Young Pretender") and his only child to survive infancy. Her mother was Clementina Walkinshaw, who was mistress to the Prince from 1752 until 1760.
17 de mar. de 2024 · He recognised Charlotte as his legitimate daughter and heiress, naming her the ‘Duchess of Albany’. She then travelled to Italy and nursed her father in his last years. She was described as tall, well-made, lively and very affable, but she was already terminally ill herself and died the year after her father. Charlotte left behind a secret.
